Greater Lowell Technical Workforce Program
250 Pawtucket Blvd Tyngsboro MA 01879-2199

The Greater Lowell Technical Workforce Program, based out of the Office of Special Education, provides intervention and dropout prevention strategies for GLTHS students with IEP's. The school year component includes paid and unpaid work experience internships, community service projects, and leadership development activities. Instruction in reading, communication skills, employment readiness and independent living skills are also encompassed throughout participation. During the summer months, youth have the opportunity to work in jobs related to their technical/trade area of study (i.e. electronics, carpentry, plumbing, etc.). The goal of the program is to support these youth until graduation from the GLTHS as well as to broker post secondary school options, which will keep them attached to the workforce.
