REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

The Greater Lowell Workforce Investment Board Youth Council, in conjunction with the Career Center of Lowell, is seeking proposals from units of government, community based organizations, faith based organizations, local school systems, local educational agencies, private industry and other institutions interested in operating performance based education and employment training programs for WIA eligible in-school and out-of-school youth ages 14-21.

Programs are expected to begin July 1, 2011 and end June 30, 2012. All programs should serve youth in the Northern Middlesex Service Delivery Area (City of Lowell, Towns of Billerica, Chelmsford, Dracut, Dunstable, Tewksbury, Tyngsboro and Westford).

Proposal application packages may be picked up at the Greater Lowell Workforce Investment Board Administration Office, 3^rd Floor, 107 Merrimack Street Lowell, MA or may be accessed as of Monday, March 21, 2011 via our website at www.glwib.org.

There will be a Bidders Meeting for any questions regarding the RFP on Monday, March 28, 2011 from 10:00-11:00 AM @ the Career Center of Lowell Administration Conference Room 3^rd floor, 107 Merrimack Street, Lowell, MA 01852.   Letters expressing intent to submit a proposal to this RFP are strongly encouraged and may be mailed to the Greater Lowell Workforce Investment Board Attn: Vera Gallagher, Contract Manager, 107 Merrimack Street, Lowell, MA 01852.

Proposals must be delivered on or before 4:00 P.M. on Monday, April 25th, 2011.
